NSS program was started at our college in 1972-73. The first Program officer was Shri. P.H. Patel. The present program officer is Dineshbhai Charan & Ambalalbhai Rathwa. The NSS program is targeted at creating a service attitude amongst students. At present we have two units of NSS consisting of more than 200 volunteers. The NSS units of our college are involved in cleanliness drives, tree plantation, blood donation camp, anti-superstition campaign, literacy mission, adult education, AIDS awareness, Polio campaign etc. The NSS also organizes an annual camp in one of the neighboring villages where student volunteers stay for 10 days and participate in rural life. Every three years the unit adopts a village. Presently we have adopted village Dangaria in Devgadh Baria Taluka. The NSS volunteers also conduct Socioeconomic survey of the village.
Kum. Rathwa Geetaben Kesharsinh, an NSS volunteer of our college was awarded second rank in the Best Student Leaders’ Seminar organized by Gujarat University in 2007.
