Faculty Profile - adequacy and competency of faculty
There are two permanent and one part-time faculty member. It is the oldest department in college. The Dept. is also served by various visiting faculties such as Dr. Ravi Amin, Shri R. D. Chaudhary from various colleges affiliated to Gujarat University.
Student Profile
Gujarati being the mother tongue of almost all students, the subject is widely popular. The students of the Dept. belong to almost all the classes and categories of Society.
Learning resources of the department
Since the institute possesses a rich library, the students take advantage of it. There are more than 7000 books including reference books and other sources. More than 7 journals/periodicals/magazines come every month. The Dept. invites various experts of the subject to help the students enrich their knowledge. The Dept. organized a State-level Seminar headed by Dr. Satish Vyas (Retd. HOD, Gujarati, Gujarat University) Dr. Bharat Mehta (Reader, M S University, Baroda).
